Answers to your questions, in plain English, so you can make educated and informed decisions with your money

The Wealth Planning engagement provides financial planning and investment recommendations tailored to your unique situation.

The ultimate goal is to help you streamline complicated finances and put an end to any disorganization. As life changes, we help you stay organized in a coordinated, holistic manner to keep you feeling secure with your money.

This engagement is for people age 50+ who want a lasting partnership with a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional that will grow with you through each stage of life.

For people seeking a short-term collaboration with a CFP® professional that will address three important retirement planning matters, the Project-Based Financial Planning engagement may be a good fit.

Wealth Planning

Our approach is to not overwhelm clients with so much information that their minds go numb. So, we make sure to limit the number of topics covered at one time.

In renewal years, you will have up to three scheduled appointments, based upon your meeting preferences and what you have going on in your life.

In addition to our scheduled appointments, phone and video consultations and email are included at no additional cost. We are here to help support you as your life changes.

Getting organized

Collect any necessary information while helping you sort through your financial situation and get organized.

Getting to Know You

Gather information about your financial and life dreams, needs, possibilities, family, and future to form a well-developed picture of your money and your attitude, and how the two are related.

Tax Planning

Calculate year-ending tax projections and identify strategies to reduce your tax bill.

Portfolio Analysis

Illustrate an investment inventory of your assets and liabilities and share with you our planning philosophy to help you understand how it applies to your financial situation.

Cash Flow planning

Introduce you to tools you can use to help track where your cash goes and how to arrange your money to have cash flow and savings organized automatically.

Insurance Review

Review and document plan basics for the insurance policies you have to help you develop an insurance portfolio that covers true economic risk.

Estate Planning

Review your estate planning documents, note any questions or concerns we have, and, if needed, help prepare you for a meeting with an estate planning attorney.

Retirement Planning

Review your retirement plan and go over the different retirement planning philosophies and funding methodologies in order to help meet your goals and objectives.

goals Visualization

Talk through conflicts and incongruencies, whether between partners, goals, or priorities competing for limited resources, to arrive at a list of your top goals and objectives, with dates and dollar amounts.

Investment Recommendations

Determine your optimal asset allocation plan and, if needed, make further adjustments to the allocation percentages based on your goals and objectives to provide you with specific investment recommendations.

Share the role and function of an income ladder (or “bond ladder”) in your asset allocation plan, the relationship of an income ladder to retirement cash flow, and provide you with specific investment recommendations.

Year-End Review

Review the accomplishments of our work together over the past year, identify work that still needs to be addressed, and make a plan of action for the following year.

There are at least three topics to be addressed every year: tax planning, cash flow and goal planning, and investment portfolio update and recommendations. These topics do not necessarily need standalone appointments. Most importantly, we want you to feel secure about your money and to contact us before any big decision involving money. We are here to help support you.
